Done with running, we found the slow It's not an ocean, there's room to grow. You're still drowning in the pace they chose You're only bound if you believe it so You're nothing but out of control You've been chasing since the minute they let ya go As a young kid, you always seemed so old, and nowhere felt like home You are lost. Got no money, who gives a shit? I don't. With all their somethings, they're just as alone. You're surrounded by all you long to own, you're only bound if you believe it so... You're nothing but out of control. We've been reaching for a reason to throw this stone As a young kid, you always seemed so old and nowhere felt like home... You are lost. What You're taking is taking you. Got no money, who gives a shit? I don't. We're so ugly, it wouldn't help at all...

Movin' On Ya 03:32
Covered, sleeping in the cornerstone. Rumored, rattling their busy bones. Scriptures hinted but never said so... Waters whispering, "You'll never know..." She's moving on ya, to red light California, at high tide. Hold tight. Covered, down in Alexandria. Smothered, deep in esoterica. Butchered, manufactured in America. You Father's are whispering, "It never was." She's moving on ya, to red light California, at high tide. Hold tight. A siren sonnet for your insides, she's movin' on ya for the last time. [bitchin solo] Alone, you froze and lost the will to start again I know, I know, it's hard to find the spark again...

Comatose, the overdose laid you by the stairs. In swirls of red your aching head went farther than you dared. In a wall of white your soul's respite, softly like veil, as the world outside turned day to night, your heart slowly failed. My nerves they sat like tombs... As the echoes wandered through... But when I first met you, we laid pennies on the tracks. I'd sing Baby Blue as you read Grapes of Wrath but now that's passed... In black and white your quaint goodbye sat folded on the stairs, The letters bled from tears you shed but every word rang clear I sat with you in that empty room and softly stroked your hair as the world outside turned day to night and nothingness drew air PreChorus But when I first met you, we laid pennies on the tracks. I'd sing Baby Blue as you read Grapes of Wrath. When I first met you, I swore my love and you just laughed, how will I let you go? "This is the hour of lead, remembered if outlived, remembered if outlived." Chorus

Gloria unending, the pillars fell in waves. Smoke flooded the living as the fires grew in wait The children chased their mothers as the sky filled up with planes A city froze in wonder as the art of war took shape, and became Day and night help you see it, Dark and light give it meaning Death and Life blend as sweetly. Wrong and right, they're just feelings, truth and lies are yours for deeming Death and Life blend as sweetly. Gloria unending, the beauty set ablaze. They piled all the families for a tolerable wage. Divided the survivors and filled up every cage, and buried the expired as the art of war took shape.... and betrayed [angry solo] Chorus [possibly Ode to Joy on guitar] Chorus

Avarice 02:53
You need to clear your head I need to quiet mine, It's like we've watched that ship go down a million times But the coast seemed clear, I thought the water looked fine The needle buried in the red but we still aren't flyin, the water climbed the ship still they fed their lies, The children trapped therein begged us to come inside... Clearly it's a market I mean baby open up your eyes, We're not the merchants not the vendors we're the meet on the wire Payin out the socket for broken homes and families alike, You'd better find that star and get to closing your eyes or get back in line... I watched you clench your fists beneath the giving tree, you better cup those hands and dirty up those knees. If you don't understand, you don't yet need. The needle's buried in the red but we're running blind, we traded calloused hands for this 9 to 5, the children like their lips and open wide... Clearly it's a market I mean look at how they weave their lies, We're not the people, not the promise, we're along for the ride to rot on the docket, kneeling with our red hands tied, You better find that star and get to closing your eyes or get back in line.... Chorus You better find that star...

Claira 05:27
She's living life through flashes, they're far too brief to tell. Fragments of a path or she's standing still. Proud of all she captures, she don't wear it very well... oh well. Born for the jet-set, bid farewell to her friends, Home for a deep breath, she sank into the sand Among the walking undead, a stranger in her skin, goddamn. Claira, where are you? Floating down a river she knows they're gonna damn. Burning all her bridges til they're weak enough to mend Looking out her window for somewhere no one's been, and no one can... Claira, where are you? I'm pacing all the time. I barely sleep at night. I know I want this, I know I need this lie... Claira, where are you?

about

This album was recorded in a studio in Indy, then after a series of bad mixes we took the tracks to Justin's house and he helped it get to here. The Coyotes are no longer, but the music lives on.
